Chiara passed her viva without corrections at the University of Glasgow in 2023. Her research examined 19th century US poet Walt Whitman’s transcendentalist poetics of New York, supported by a studentship from the Andrew Hook Centre for American Studies, for which she has also acted as postgraduate research representative. Chiara worked for the university as a Tutor in English Literature, leading seminars and offering academic advice. She is currently adapting her thesis with the aim of publishing a monograph on the subject.
